Lead Engineer - Cleanroom Cranes - Eindhoven - Full time

Do you know how to get the best out of yourself? As Lead Engineer, you will be one of the players within a multidisciplinary team working on challenging projects in the lifting and hoisting field for clean room and controlled environment.


The Engineering department consists of several development teams. As Lead Engineer, you focus on developing components of (newly developed) cranes and everything related. You are responsible for clarifying and translating the specific customer demand into functional solutions. You research, test and validate to make sure you meet the customer's demand. In this, you work closely with the Technical Project Leader who focuses on developing new cranes. Together, you know how to come up with innovative designs. So that we stay ahead in a market that is in full swing.

As Lead Engineer: 

  • You translate specific customer demand into an appropriate (functional and technical) design.
  • You have 'the lead' in finding the right solution: from research to concept, design and validation.
  • You elaborate the technical plan, make calculations, (sketch) designs, working drawings and descriptions.
  • You keep track of all ongoing (sub)projects and check the work performed against project scope and planning.
  • You are continuously working on process and product improvements.
  • You challenge yourself and your team members to come up with (even better) creative and reliable solutions.
  • You work closely with the System Architect, Technical Project Leader and other technical disciplines and departments.

What do you offer? 

  • Completed HBO education in the field of mechanical engineering.
  • At least 3 years' experience in product development and working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in translating specific customer demand into a suitable (functional and technical) design.
  • Knowledge of construction technology and lifting and hoisting technology and related laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of (the properties of) various materials and their applicability in a clean room environment / controlled environment.
  • Experience in making conceptual calculations on load-bearing parts and in supervising third-party FEM calculations.
  • SolidWorks/PDM experience, you can read and understand technical drawings.
  • You are communicative (Dutch and English), pragmatic and creative.
